What is Onysil® Nail Lacquer:
Onysil® is a lacquer intended for direct application onto the nails. The lacquer is designed to protect and support remineralization and renew the structure of nails affected by deformation, brittleness or increased brittleness. It strengthens brittle nails, reduces their defragmentation, improves their appearance and promotes healthy nail growth. The lacquer may also be applied onto nail plates inclined to eczema and psoriatic changes. These diseases manifest by deformities of the nail plates, which cosmetically annoy the patient and significantly decrease the patient’s quality of life. The lacquer may be used on newborns.
Onysil® is a nail lacquer that comes in a 5ml glass bottle. The bottle is packed in a box along with the Instructions for Use.
How does Onysil® Nail Lacquer Work:
Onysil® Nail Lacquer contains the ingredients listed below, which synergistically improve the condition of the nail plate and speed up its renewal. The main component of the lacquer is silicon, which is obtained from millet seed extract (Panicum miliaceum) in its best bioavailable form – orthosilicic acid. Silicon re-mineralizes the nail, restores the structure of the nail and increases its strength and flexibility. Chitosan salicylate, also obtained purely from natural sources, helps transport all components of the lacquer into the nail plate and creates a protective barrier, which thereby reduces the nails brittleness and accelerates their growth. In addition, it has antimicrobial effects. Zinc gluconate, an absorbable form of zinc, supports nail growth. Methylsulfonylmethane (dimethyl sulfone) stabilizes proteins, thus increases the strength and elasticity of the nail. It strengthens the bonds between the nail layers, thus increases the hardness of the nail plate. Pistacia lentiscus resin oil called mastic gum oil, increases keratin synthesis and thus increases nail thickness. It has been used in the Mediterranean for centuries as a hair and nail balm.
What else are some of the ingredients in this product used for if used in medicine.
How does Silicon in the nails and skin Work?
Skin elasticity and resilience decrease with age. The mechanical properties of the skin lose their uniformity. A lack of silicon also contributes to a breakdown in collagen and glycosamino glycanes. Scientific studies have shown that type I collagen is only formed properly in the presence of silicon. The content of hydroxyproline, the main ingredient in collagen, is drastically reduced in the absence of silicon and the activity of ornithine aminotransferase, the key to proline synthesis, decreases.

How does Salicyloyl Chitosan Work?
The antibacterial activities were assessed according to an inhibition zone method against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The antibacterial results indicated that the antibacterial activity of salicyloyl chitosan was stronger than chitosan for both E. coli and S. aureus.

How does Zinc Gluconate Work?
Zinc gluconate is designed to promote hair and nail growth (it also promotes the healing of ulcers and wounds).

How does Pistacia Lentiscus Oil (Mastic Gum Oil) Work?
The gum from the Pistacia lentiscus tree contains numerous biologically active molecules, including essential oils, the main ingredients of which are α-pinene, b-myrcene, b-pinene, linalool, limonene and caryophyllen. In vitro, pistacia lentiscus gum has demonstrated that it increases the synthesis of hard keratins (K31, K83, K85) and it increases the quantity of silicon. In vivo, it improves nail strength and thickness.

How to Use Onysil® Nail Lacquer:
Shake before use! Apply a thin, equal layer onto carefully cleaned and dry nails once a day. Ideally, use a medicinal anti-septic, sodium lauryl sulfate-free soap (for example, Cutosan® wash gel) to cleanse the nails. The layer dries in about 10 minutes. The nail lacquer washes off with water, therefore, it should be applied onto dry nail plates, preferably at night before going to bed.
Warning:
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If the nails do not improve or if skin irritation occurs, stop using the product and consult your physician or pharmacist. Do not use in case of an allergy or hypersensitivity to any one of the product’s ingredients.
Storage and Transportation Conditions:
